music mastering

For me, the best part of the creation of art is when all the little details come together to form a finished product; starting from writing the song and moving on to producing, recording and mixing, the final stage for any great record is mastering, which is where all of the countless hours spent in the aformentioned steps come together to form a wonderful piece of art.

My aim as a mastering engineer is to elevate the emotions of your music and give your art everything it deserves. Mastering is so much more than just "fixing mixing" – at it's best, the mastering process of any musical artwork is dialogue between the artist, producer and the mixing engineer to ensure perfect intention of the material. It might only come down to making sure that the track is ready to be published without any further changes!

I welcome any form of music into my speakers. I've always felt that the mastering process is to realise the music and the intention, which requires a deep musical motive to the artform itself, and doesn't necessarily have to be dictated by unwritten rules. That and very simply put a new pair of ears to hear the material can take the music to a completely different level. I want my process to be a defining factor to your vision.

My promise to you is to address your art from a human-to-human and musician-to-musician standpoint. For me, although holding high priority, technical excellence never compromises the music. The music is what dictates the mastering process. That process can be tailored to suit your needs, or you can simply trust me to do (or not do) whatever I seem required to give your music the final 5% that it deserves. With full satisfaction guarantee.

Joel is one of those most insightful and professional sound engineers I have ever worked with. His musicianship and ability to capture the energy of the moment is unparalleled. Every time I come to the studio and Joel is behind the controls, I know the music will be taken care of.

I sent a single to Joel for mastering. The process went swimmingly, and the quality of the master was wonderful. Moreover, Joel communicated clearly about timelines and other practicalities along the way, which I really appreciate.

Fast, flexible and reliable! I've sent multiple mixes (genres ranging from EDM to jazz) to Joel for mastering and the end product has been a clear improvement every time.
